We are looking forward to sharing all of the student's hard work at our annual recital! Please read through the following information to ensure you are up-to-date on all of our recital policies, and how we keep things running smoothly on recital and dress rehearsal days.
It is your responsibility to keep yourself informed, please ask any of our helpful staff if you have any questions!!
We are excited to present our recital production shows this year for all of our shows! This show will be presented in production format similar to our ballet productions of the past few years. This means the dancers will interact and move freely from one piece of music to the next rather than stopping the music and show after each piece. This also means more stage time for the dancers! In order to do this similar costuming for all dancers facilitates the entrances and exits for a seamless performance. For this reason the costuming will be reasonably priced, but production oriented: meaning all classes involved in these shows will be paying a similar price for their garments if you are in one class. However, if your deposit was $55, your deposit is likely short by $20 of the actual costuming price. If your child is in more than one class you will likely find yourself paying less than you were expecting as you will be buying only some extra pieces rather than entire costumes.Any extra that is owing on your costume will be due in the spring before it can go home.If you have paid more in deposits than the cost of your costume (your child is ion more than one class) this will be applied to your fees for lessons unless otherwise requested. This will not be done until costumes have arrived, been sorted and sent home, then credits will be assessed. You will be notified by email what the amount of that credit is and how we used it for you.
FAIRYTALES AND PRINCESSES
Hanson Ranch Mini ShowAirdrie Mini Show
In an effort to keep costume prices down, as we always do with this age group, expect to see a variety of princess and other fairytale costuming. As the price for this age group is lower you will see more Halloween quality costuming and more use of class attire as the base for the costumes we use.
A TRIBUTE TO BALANCHINE
Ballet Production – Airdrie and Hanson Ranch combined
We will be using a variety of classical ballet costuming including skirts, romantic tutus, platter tutus and other commonly used costuming by famed choreographer Balanchine. We are excited to present excerpts from 4 of his most famous choreographic works, including "Serenade"set to the beautiful music of Tchaikovsky played by the New York City Ballet Orchestra, "Western Symphony" with music from Hershy Kay played by the New York City Ballet Orchestra, "Symphony in C" with music by Bizet played by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, and of course "Stars & Stripes" with famous marches from John Philip Sousa, always a crowd pleaser!
